M4a1 Vs G36c
 

Hey guys , Im having problems with choosing between these to guns.

First I like the design of the M4A1 but having trouble with which company to choose from, a buddy of mine said if you like the metal body go with classic army and if you dont mind the plastic go with TM ( there a very good comany)

now im starting to like the TM G36C

I like the style of it and how you can upgrade it fairly easy just like the M4A1


Now what I need from you guys are,if you own or have tried both please post and tell me what you think about each one and maybe some pros and cons you have found.
maybe you can help me compare both :
-do they shoot the same accuracy?
-how are they on battary power?how many shots you get off of it?
-did you upgarde the battery?how many more shots can you get out of it?
and thing else you can think of

Joe, save yourself a lot of grief and flames; read the Information section of this forum, learn to use the Search option, and if you dont find anything read a lot more.

In general, all guns that are 'stock' and about the same size (barrel lenght) shoot the same. Accuracy is the same. For batteries, please read the Upgrades section.
Nutshell answer; get an AEG and Dont Touch the Internals. Go to a game to see/learn more.

well as for me, I'd say hes new and everyone even the pros started from somewhere. as for accuracy, they both have the same motor and gearbox (i think) and the same length barrel, so right out of the box they should shoot the same. as for batterie life, if you have an 8.4volt 1700mah battery, then the voltage will tell you how fast (shots per time) you will shoot and the mah will tell you how much of a charge you will get, the higher the number the longer the life. i would go for a Tokyo Marui M4A1 personally, its just personal preference, i myself like the TM AUG civ and AK47 much more then any of the armalite (M16, M4) family, or the MP5 of G3 families, but i guess its what you want, it all comes down to personaly preference. im out

As for battery power i'm pretty sure you're going to need two batteries if you're looking at a TM G36 or a TM M4. They both take smaller batteries.

For the G36 there is a kit that you can get which includes a larger handguard that you can fit a large battery in which could save you in the long run.

I've had an 8.4 1800mah and an 8.4 2400mah and have never had a them die during a game.

Also, if you're looking for a full metal M4 and don't want a small battery look into the ICS/G&P versions of the M4 that come with a full stock. These will allow you to use a large battery thus saving yourself the trouble.

You can always use large batteries with these guns I guess, if you don't mind finding a spot to keep it externally.

As for range they should be very similar.

One thing you might like about the G36 is that it's a very quiet gun. M4/Armalites are one of the noisiest AEGs you can get due to the thin body.

Whatever you choose you'll be happy with though so don't stress about your decision too much.

And to get verified you need to contact your local representative. Just search the forum and you'll find it without too much trouble.

G36 hands down. No barrel wobble, and you can upgrade the crap outta it inside and get a lot of life out of the Ver3 mechbox, where the Ver2s tend to give out after a while with upgrades. Also, any Armalite has body tabs that break off easily, and the only way to fix is to buy a metal body. In short, the G36 is a heck of a lot more rugged and will last you longer, and be more reliable (as in cheaper) after upgrading.

M4 A1 is a good gun-Version 2
G36C also a good gun- Version 3 (very solid)
If you like the armalite (m16) style, choose a M4
If you like the h&k (mp5) style, choose a G36C

I have a TM M4 A1 and i love it! :tup:

I'd say go with a G36C over the M4 because of two reasons. One is that the TM M4's tend to develop a painfully annoying thing called "Barrel Wobble", in which the barrel becomes loose and somewhat sways and wobbles while your shooting or moving the gun around. The second is that the G36C is moree versitile, in the sense that it is long enough to be used as a regular ranged rifle, but also has a folding stock so that it can be comfortably used as a CQB weapon. But thats just my opinion, the final decsion is really up to you.

I would also have to say you sould go with a g36c. i have had a couple experiences where the plastic tabs of an m4 body broke. Although i have never used a g36c i can gather enough info from what people say to come to the conclusion that the g36c is a little tougher internally and externally.

All these issues people have stated [barrel wobble, plastic tabs] are non-existant on full metal versions.

Barrel wobble isn't as bad on M4's as it is on M16's that's for sure.

Just the body tabs? You sure? How about the whole M4 breaking ;)

i used to have an m4a1, hated it. now i have a g36c and i love it. but I'm going to end up buying another m4 or m16 type gun... so really no one can help you out you'll just have to buy both :P

even if you go plastic theres a fix for barrel wobble. do a search.

i play all day with one mini battery with a hi cap mag at that... just dont full auto ALOT and you will be fine... but i also run a stock g36.
