Wanting sub $200 aeg for first gun

Basically I'm very knew to airsoft and I don't know what aeg is good for the 200 dollar range. I currently just only play with friends outdoors so the gun would have to have good range and a fast bps. I don't want to spend money on sights and major accessories so it would have to be a low maintenance and well rounded gun. Thanks guys. Btw I'm buying from Torontoairsoft.ca

Get age verified there too and read the faq here as well
I'd recommend a cyma
Or a g&g combat machine

would be helpful to read tghe rules here, you've already broken a couple of them.

But as for <200$... cyma or jg guns are pretty much the only thing I'd look at. 200$ for a combat machine m4 but a king arms m4 is not much more and a more worthy espense imo. The gearboxes in the combat machines are not very strong.

If you play even semi-regularly, low-maintenance gun and higher performance (either FPS or BPS) at $200.00 range, does not really compute.

Gun prices have come down considerably, but overall reliability, respective manufacturer/reputation + mid-range performance, still has a cost of more than $200.00, IMHO.

Otherwise, Cyma now, and start banking money for upgrades for it in the future .. or save your money for a little bit more and go King Arms, if M4 is your style.

Might find something closer to your expectations that's been 'tuned-in', in the buy/sell section, if you age-verify.

Especially going with Toronto Airsoft - good luck with that after-sales support if it fails even very prematurely.

Buy $200 gun
Put a $15 hop rubber in it
Run .28g BBs
Use 7.4 lipo, 9.6v mini NiMH, or 8.4v large NiMH battery

All bases covered.

I don't know how much CYMA's and JG's are these days but you could get an Aftermath Kraken or whatever. I do believe they come with CYMA gearboxes under the shell just cheaper externals and a good gun to tinker with.

And +1 to what TC said, a better bucking makes a world of difference and it's not too hard to replace if you have some tools and technical know how and can read and follow instructions in a guide. You don't even have you get into the gearbox just into the front assy. and replace the bucking on the barrel (might I suggest a Guarder Clear bucking which was what everyone was recommending back in the day, or look to see what performs well these days, I wouldn't attempt an R-Hop mod though just replace the bucking).

You guys keep talking about all these things to put into the gun yet I don't know what they are or what they do

I'd suggest you take a bit of time and read as much as you can and watch some videos. Watch reviews and tear down videos and you'll know a lot about airsoft in no time.

start reading/searching about the things people are telling you about.

reviews are a bit misleading, they're all done by 14 year old kids who have no idea what they're talking about.

research the technical side of things and then make educated decisions.

Once you get age verified a whole new world of Airsoft will open up to you.

Till then Nuff said with above answers.
