That sucks for the EU... hope you guys rally around your local politicians and get them to understand what airsoft is and isn't.

BorisKarloff August 7th, 2014 07:28

Wow WTF!!!

pugs144 August 7th, 2014 08:15

Sucks to be in Europe right now ROFLMAO.

hollywood... August 7th, 2014 08:29

lets disarm the population - sounds a lot like 1930's Germany to me

pugs144 August 7th, 2014 08:58

I don't know why the OP has his g-string in a knot; he's Russian supposedly. Since when did they care about what the EU intends to do?

j_march August 7th, 2014 09:09

I was sort of wondering the same thing. I guess its news though.

sounds like every single police/autoritarian state in history, commies included.
However there's a thing with EU law Vs state's law that will probably make these moves difficult.

pugs144 August 7th, 2014 11:53

The way things are headed, arming the populace would be a very good thing ;)

Government views don't often translate to the average citizen's views. He doesn't have to be EU in order to care about what happens in the EU, just like I don't have to be African in order to care about what happens on that continent.

This is pretty radical (not in the "whoa dude" way either). I'm kind of astonished at the scale of this ban, a good chunk of the world would be disarmed if this passes...

docholiday August 7th, 2014 14:57

The users post in that forum is from 2013. He is referring to an report, issued also in 2013, from the EU Commission to the EU Parliament and EU Council, linked below:

The nazi's disarmed non-Germans. They actually made it easier for Germans to acquire rifles.
A government that disarms its populace is a government that doesn't trust its populace.

+100500

as the history of the world - the government disarms its people, when it is more untrusted him.
exact - people do not trust the government.
Do you, as I understand it with etim much easier?
In Russia, even a police or military who has a service weapon, can not easily buy a gun home. it is necessary to pass the exams, pass a medical examination, to bring the characteristics of the work - and it is for self-defense weapon for rifles even harder.
