Mesh for site protector
Hey ASC, I am in need of materials for protecting my 40mm (it's big, I know) red dot site from bb impact. I already have a flip up plastic/rubber frame for it but I need to know what type of material to use inside the frame, I was thinking mesh but I don't know what type to get or where to buy it. I've tried 1/2 inch plexiglass but it didn't like any of the adhesives I own (always ended up fogging the lense, even when I used CA glue). Any ideas?

They can be expensive, but they definitely work.
http://www.midwayusa.com/find?dimensionids=11388 I purchased a Leupold ARD (old, cheap version) for my scope with a Butler Creek flip-up lens cover. Otherwise, stamped steel mesh or just regular metal mesh will work as long as you cover the sharp edges. I've heard of some people building killflashes using straws. |
Yeah, already have the kill flash frame (flip up), just need the material for inside it. any idea on what kind of store would carry such a mesh or stamped metal?
