Crye JPC
 

Anybody have experience with this carrier?

I'd like something light, and solid, and it appears to be all that in a surprisingly affordable package

I have used replicas and they are awesome. Still have several team members using TMC replicas.

Very light, breathable, and though the skeletal cummerbund looks "flimsy", you can actually mount pouches and other things to the MOLLE on them without worry of them being floppy and annoying. Pretty low profile and has a high ride which allows for use of battle belt rigs with comfort.

If you want the real Crye stuff though, be prepared to wait a little while as the high demand has most retailers out of stock/on back-order.

Indeed, that's often the case with Crye stuff. It looks like Amazon has 5 of them, but I'm not sure how sketchy that is

I've been running a Crye JPC for months now. Its a great rig.

I've heard some griping about less than impressive stitching on the JPCs. What is ur opinion?

Mine is fine. I've only noticed a little bit on the shoulder covers. I did hear that the messy stitching was due to the needed rush to cover the huge demand at the time. Its not so much now i think.

Several of our guys use the real steel Crye JPC for airsoft and/or tactical shooting, and swear by it. It weighs just under one pound, and is incredibly versatile. C-Toms in Edmonton carries Crye Precision products. There may a slight wait time on order, but it shouldn't be bad. I got my BDUs right away.

I've had my Crye Jpc for almost two years now. I have no complaints. I have been using it more with my RS training and course and it hasent failed or worn.

I certainly have not seen any issues with stitching, In fact the only thing I can comment on is the multicam Molle on the front has began to fade.
The skeleton cummerbund is doubled up for rigidity as well there is a ridged plastic support woven in between the Molle.
The shoulder straps are rubber coated fabric weave which has not worn or torn in any way.

Ctoms in Edmonton carries these regularly. You shouldn't have any real wait for them. Cry does two production runs a year for these

i actually ordered a jpc from ctoms back in march. they're currently out of stock on them, on most of their crye products for that matter.

the guy at ctoms handling crye precision told me they'll probably start a production run in may, with orders shipping out around the end of the month.

hopefully i'll get it sometime june/july.

but ya, there will probably be a bit of wait.

If you want a repro get MODI or Flyye. IMHO the TMC or Emerson are crap and very innacurate.

But as with any other piece of gear, real Crye is the best if you can afford it, especially since with Crye you have excellent resale value and are pretty much guaranteed to get at least retail if you choose to resell it.

As Conker said the Flyye and MODI are the closest replicas, the Flyye version actually uses legit Crye MTC Webbing.

I've been through tons of carriers and I have to say the JPC is one of the top carriers I've used. There's a few on ebay last time I checked, or you can grab one used on a gear/impression forum like dt6.

Good to hear all the good reviews, though I guess I expected no less from Crye.

Looks like EBay is out. My question is, would you guys trust amazon?

I'm in no real hury so I'll likely so with a Ctoms, but I'm curious
