LF VFC Scar External Screw
 

I was having a problem with my AEG, so I took it apart to fix the issue. When I put it back together I must have neglected making sure that every single external screw was sitting tight. While playing a game, one of the screws must have fallen out. I'm am hoping that someone around these forums has one of these screws that they can get rid of... Here is a picture

Its just a flat head allen bolt. VFC didnt invent it

You could probably find one in store eventually

Edit: and the best part is that you have the twin right beside it. Take the other one out, make sure it fits properly in the other space (the threads will be the same but maybe a different length?) if it fits than bring that sucker to a hardware store (dont lose it)

Yeah I have though about doing so. There's a place not too far from where I live that specialize in screws and specific hardware. When I bought a Echo1, which had a serious issue with the buffer tube holding into place, I went to that store and they got me a longer screw which fixed the issue. Thing is, it's a pretty damn small screw, I know that the threads are likely standard, but I'm skeptical about them having such a specific screw.

mehh I think youll find it just fine, its not anywhere near an unheard of request.

OK, 1) you don't even need to take those out normally.

& 2) VFC is great about sending out the spare parts like that. Drop them an email.

it is a wierd size you will not be able to find it at fasenal or any parts store. you have to order the whole back piece where the sling mounts are from VFC direct it comes with the 4 body screws needed.

Actually, I did find a screw that fit from Fastenal. Here's the thing, the screw is somewhat longer, and the inclination of the head sits at a different angle. However, the screw that they gave me fit perfectly and although being longer than the original it didn't cause any issues. This might not be the case for all the locations of this specific screw, but you can swap one to find where the longer screw can fit. Here are the dimensions if anyone misplaces or loses one.

Diameter: M4
Threads: 0.7
Length: 6mm (Which is roughly 1/3 longer than the original)
Fastenal part #: 40931

The don't sit flush to the body like the original correct?

They sit flush, its internally that it can be an issue if there isn't enough depth. Otherwise you cannot tell the difference.

If the screw is too long, just shorten it down with a file.
