g18 wont cycle all the way after installing new hammer
Ive had a odd problem with my WE g18(with tm hammer assembly) since i replaced the hammer(modified to work with WE slide) , in that it wont cycle enough to lock the slide back, or even load a bb. I tried reinstalling it, lubing it up, and reseating everything. It looks like the knocker doesnt go far enough ahead/ doesnt hit the valve all the way. Putting pressure on the mag doesnt do anything either, so its not a sealing issue .Im stumped. Any ideas guys?

Recheck your work and confirm that all the springs and parts are installed correctly. Pull the slide back to where the slide won't go further during firing, and see what's preventing it from going back. When you fire the gun, is it sluggish or is normal but is getting caught?

It doesnt feel like its getting caught at all, the slide action is really smooth. It feels like not enough gas is being released
|
Sounds like it's light striking then.
|
Any way to fix it? Should I just take apart the hammer assembly again?
|
Is the hammer the correct speck to reach the strike plate on the magazine? Ie. are you sure this is the right part you ordered?
|
I guess now's the time to detail what the hammer modification entailed.
|
I also forgot to mention that the little striker reset bars spring was lost so i put one in that i had lying around, and its really stiff. Would this be causing issues?

The guns modify zero hammer will hit the trigger group housing, this limits how far your hammer can go forward and also limit the gas released. There is a chance however this is not the case and your hammer pin disconnect or spring is no longer present, this causes the limited gas release.

Please get them when you got time, lastly, are you sure you spring is on the wrong side

Yeah I know I'll need a new spring, I lost the proper one and put one in so stiff I couldn't press it down. But yeah when I get home I'll post postures of the disconnect
