Changing wood paint to synthetic look

Hi guys, I'm trying to know if it is possible to change the wood color with a paint that would give it a synthetic black color. Is it possible and how? Thank you very much

ir its real wood, it will just look like painted wood, if its a plastic with a wood look cand it with 500grit paper wipe down with alchohol (rubbing) and paint with krylon black

This is real wood. I read some step to do, sanding with 120gr to remove the clear, washing thourtgly with degreaser soap and washing with water. Wood primer, wood paint color and wood clear. This could do a correct job since I never did it, I don't excpect high results. But I would rather pay a professionel that do custom wood stock paint. I would like to still have the smooth to the touch surface. If anyone knows a person that offer this kind of service... :)

even with all that work you will still see the grains(faintly), if you dont want to see them all together then your best bet would be buying a polimer set

what kind of gun is it?

Thx for the infos! Before doing it I will take all the time needed to read guide and get the most informations I can. The gun is in fact a pellet gun, a Benjamin Sheridan Nitro Piston XL 1100fps in .22 caliber and 795fps in .25 caliber (I have both barrels). I built it myself from scratch ordering a couple of parts at a time and only looking at the Crosman diagram.

no worries, dont forget to post a pic when you are done

I will for sure! And what is really cool with pellet guns is that the part cost absolutly nothing compare to airsofts. A wood stock is 48$, so I don't care much about not being satisfied! Cheers! :)

I found a shop to both powder coat and clear coat all the original black metal parts to a silver finish with high gloss. 100$ for all, I'm very impresse. After he will also do the paint job on my wood stock, complete sanding, durable mate black paint with mat gloss. 50$ I will show the results of course
