enola gaye frags

so i was in the rocket fire works shop in my are today and the guy there (a tactical paint baller nice guy)
Was telling me about the enola pull string frag grenades.
So hosts and field owners and such. What do you think of these things.
A quick google search will reveal some videos of them. There is one with a group of guys setting them off point blank (within a few feet of themselves so they seem safe)
If we are interested i can get them to bring in a tester box and we can check em out and see if we want to use em regularly.

I emailed the guys at Rocket about these just after I put in my large smoke order, they said that they was in some sort of testing with the government here and might be available in 1-2 years.

actual response from Rocket -

"Right now, the only legal product in Canada is the wire pull smoke grenade.

We are currently working on authorizations for additional products. These products are in testing with the government of Canada and will hopefully be released within the next 1 to 2 years"

They are saying that they will have to bring in some for a test market (not for sale but for free for testing by us) once we show an intrest in them they will proceed with gettin government approval if they see there is a market for them.

Local PB field has started using them, look pretty good. Haven't seen one up close yet.

be nice to have these, it would keep some people from bunkering down in a building and stalling game flow cause getting them out is almost impossible.

metagod April 27th, 2013 21:26

We use them in Alberta. They are pretty good but I still like the larger size smoke grenades more.

This is about their frags not smokes.
If you want GOOD smokes (meaning huge smoke in a short time)
Check the rocket fireworks website they have 4 kinds the new enola ones (they are nice cause of many colors)
The "old school" tactical smokes (lil more compact then the enola ones but sameish smoke volume, only white)
The battlefield smokes (big dont fit in alot of pouches but large volume of smoke and longdr burn time)
BUT WAIT as i was saying if you want BIG smoke try the "sky diver" smokes. They burn as fast as the tactical and enola smokes but put out twice the volume of smoke. They are about the same size as the battlefield smokes so kinda bulky but they are prety sweet.

I personally like the idea of these frags. They are safe biodegradeable and you dont gotta go chasing em to pic em up after you use em.
They say price point SHOULD be about the same as the enola smokes.
About a month they should have some for me to test out so ill be surd to get em out to the bigger games so the hosts, field owners. And as many players as possible can see them first hand so we can see their awesomeness or if they are fail.

Rocket.ca now has the larger Smoke Grenade by Enola Gaye: it is the EG18 Assault Smoke Grenade. Available in 7 colours. Output is 60,000 CUFt over 60-140 seconds. Shorter duration than the Sport Smoke Battlefield Grenade, but puts out about the same amount of Smoke (excellent coverage) at a much cheaper price.

THey also have the WPG series (Wire Pull Grenade) $9.99 Emits 20,000 cuft of dense White smoke for 120 seconds.

Hey guys, I know I'm raising the dead with this post, but it's been about two years since this was posted, which is about the timeline Rocket was looking at to get approval for the Enola Gaye Frags. Anyone know how things have progressed, and if these may be something we can purchase in the near future? Fingers crossed.

What about the tag grenades that someone brought in, can't remember who but someone in Canada has them.

Zack The Ripper March 12th, 2015 10:04

Mach1 and Shrike Airsoft brought in the TAGINN airsoft 40mm grenade kits. Shrike apparently has the Reaper rounds according to their site and Mach1 has the Paladin rounds that use the marking chalk. Both vendors are sold out of the starter kits with the shell/cylinder though. They only have refill rounds.

I have a friend who has reached out to a wholesaler as he has distribution licenses with a number of companies, and he is trying to bring some in via his own avenue. Hopefully it works out.

Edit: Shrike Airsoft currently has the TAGINN hand grenades though. The chalk and paint grenades are currently in stock according to the stocking on their web page.

I might have to make an order.

GR March 12th, 2015 15:39

Speaking of which, does anyone know if anyone in Canada sells any non-powder grenades (i.e. the above mentioned Enola Gaye Frags, or R2Bs by TagInn)?

Shrike and Mach1 only have the powder/paintball...

Foxer2373 March 12th, 2015 15:43

Haha I bought all the powders today, no one has the bb ones and they can no longer import until they can get special status.
