AK Railed Topcover

Hello ASC,

I have seen pictures of railed topcovers for AKs, but have been unable to locate any retailers of them. Anyone know of these items, or where I could find one?

Thanks.

Blagh. Words cannot describe how dumb I feel for not checking that website. However, that one is extremely raised.

You could get a Beryl (Polish AK) style one

Or if you have the money for it, the Parabellum Armament one would probably fit.

That just seems excessive. I don't need 3 rails in that position.

remember if the rail is just on the dust cover your zero is going to wander as most dust covers can move around a little

Red dot and aim points are added to a front rail on AKs for a reason.

Red dots and aim point are added to a rail provided by latching a rail adapter solidly to the optics mount on the side of an AK.

Anything else will not as solid.

You can always get rail that mounts to the side mount. Thats what a lot of Russian police n SOF guys do.
And what i've seen from a certain USA company is that the rail is not attached to the top cover, but is actually a replacement for the rear sight so it is stable.

Yes, that's the PA rail posted by the OP. It replaces the rear sight and attaches to the rear of the receiver

how well does it hold zero after removing the top cover, do you have to rezero it a lilbit?
