I've been thinking about what else mixes and matches with cadpat. The obvious answers were OD, RG, and etc. But what i havnt seen a lot of is someone trying to mix multicam with cadpat like this

I was wondering what you guys thought about mixing multicam and cadpat?
Have any of you tried it?

Would it "look" cool or good i dunno. But it definately could be effective in the right environment. Say mc botoms and cadpat top in an older cedar or pine forest where the ground and bottoms of the trees are tan/brown while the uppers would be green.
Often tan or brown bottoms and green tops are worn (back in the day) by scouts and snipers. Also white bottoms and gren/tan/brown tops in a winter woodland environment. If your going for effectiveness then i say use what works based on the area of play. If yer tryin to look ubertactileet then babypjke all the way (multicam that is) or go cadpat.
If you wanted to do the tan/green look id stick to one contries camo like cadpat arid and temperate mix or marpat mix with arid marpat or mc.

This is just an opinion here not fact. Im guessing the reason for the mix'n'match is that the units pictured are coming back from a roto in a desert area but are training/ex with newer (or at least cleaner) uniforms. That being said , if you take a look through some of the older Operation Enduring Freedom pics on military photos. You will see alot of desert bottoms with woodland tops being used. Some was a supply problem and others were due to terrain. Desert floor being tan but having scrub brush at waist height kind of deal.

I got some multicam, and a teammate has some cad pat. Going to try this now, thanks for the idea

I won't wear cadpat this time of year as it's to brown out, but arid fit's well. Wear MC over Arid would work nicely too.

In summer I'll give the cadpat thing a try :)
