Will a FN Scar rear sight work on a m16?
 

I love the rear FN Scar post sight. I find it simple, easy to use and would love to attach it to the rear of my m16. Now I'm not sure if it's compatible with the front sight post on a standard m16. Has any one tired it?

Fit, yes, align, maybe.

It fits, but it's about 1/4" higher than the regular sight, so you won't be able to adjust it low enough or the front post high enough to use it.

There are quite a few similar sights however... for example the KAC BUIS, looks exactly the same as the SCAR
