Favorite boot?

Title says it all, what's your favorite boot and why?

Deadpool March 18th, 2013 16:05

Rockport Tactical.

A little too noisy when cold. But they are comfy as hell in the summer.

QUATTROISKING March 18th, 2013 16:07

The s.w.a.t. Edition boots. They're cheap, warranted, very light, come with side zip/ladder,rope,and fence climbing tread, also don't stain or scuff easy. They are also the best looking boot on the market. Just my personal opinion.

Danke March 18th, 2013 16:18

I like the Oakley ones, light as running shoes with boot support.

MaybeStopCalling March 18th, 2013 16:24

I've worn a multitude of boots, but the SWAT 9" Safety Boot is my favourite. The CF Mark 3s were heavy and messed up my feet, the Magnums were light but fragile, also didn't have ankle support.

Gunny1980 March 18th, 2013 16:27

So far my Belleville 790's are fucking awesome for most conditions i ve encountered however they seem not to like ice or loose pack snow:P

5:11s all the way. I have a pair that I wear as daily shoes that happen to have a protective toe allowing me to use them around the shop at work. Very light, zipper is super easy to get in and out of. And very durable. They are pricey but worth every single penny.

Of course I use them for airsoft as well. Water proof. Nuff said.

I agree with Gunny1980 for the comfort of Belleville 790 *. I love them for the same reason that Gunny and choice of size and width. Wearing size 16 Wide I am limited in brand boots.

5.11 Taclites. Been using them for a year now with no major wear. Will be getting a pair of Danners at some point.

SuperCriollo March 18th, 2013 17:23

Danner GTX6 great all around boots

Spartan_Red March 18th, 2013 18:21

Rocky S2V.... Why?

1. Priced around $175 (less in the U.S.)
2. Aggressive vibram sole that comes a bit higher to wrap the bottom of the shoe.
3. Feels and wears like a running shoe.
4. Laces are long enough to do a wrap around then tie.
5. They are very light.
6. The vent ports are awesome. Your feet will not sweat.
7. They are tacti-cool

Cons:

1. Don't be puddle jumping, water will come in the vents.

Hope that helps! I'm on my 5th pair for work.

Belleville 790ST for the warmer months when there isn't salt on the road. Belleville 800ST the rest of the time. These are worn daily, everywhere...friends mock me because they're so comfy I wear them to the beach...

Huron March 18th, 2013 18:53

My Sawtooths, because they look high speed.

Actually they're pretty good at keeping water out now that I went at them with waterproofing spray like the stuff was going out of style. Light and comfortable and the relatively rigid sole takes some of the work out of keeping a jogging pace interestingly enough.

The north face rundle peak. Under $100 CAD (sale)
These are last year's boots and I don't think I'll replace them until fall.
Attachment 36532
I've worn them:
Desert
Snow
Rain
Ice
4-6" deep creeks

They are comfortable enough to wear to work on Fridays or out and about. No change in driving ability. Insulated enough to keep you warm in the snow but not too much so they can be worn in arid temps.

The do not have vibram soles but a North face version.

They are 100% waterproof but can be 101% by sprayin them lol.
