mosfet in a VFC scar

Stupid me, didn't think of this before buying....

I'm looking to install a gate picoSSR mosfet into my VFC scar and I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed this particular unit or any mosfet inside the gun and could give me some pointers on how to do it. I can't find any free space to fit even this TINY unit and figuring out how to wire the thin mosfet gate wire is driving me nuts. Please help?

On top of the gearbox?

I think Gate usually provides a guide on how to use their products. Look online for documentation.

Ohh, you meant the little wire. I'd suggest applying a bit of solder on the contact first, then while holding the cable melt it again, and ''dip'' the exposed wire end in the hot solder. Should hold, and be clean. Be sure to be quick, or the heat transfer will melt the insulation in the cable.

@ Danke, i heard it impedes the charging action of the bolt
@ K3vX, no, i know how to install it. its finding a spot to put it thats the problem. haha

My bad :P Unfortunately I can't help you much as I don't own this rifle. Good luck!

Don't know much about the dimensions of a Scar (I know zero) however this is the only thing I can think of using mosfet wise. Either that or swap out the fuse portion with a mosfet.

Might also suggest this, http://www.ebairsoft.com/scar-receiv...61-p-6647.html something I am looking into now

You'd want to pull the inside of the fake bolt off; I looked at it when I had one. That would give you about enough space to fit something AAA sized and be able to get all the wires in place.

That one in the photo looks pretty tiny.

LoL I've been racking my head about this one too.

Here's some inspiration.

Was wondering what you @chaosrealm93 ended up settling on.

I ended up purchasing two mosfets (1 extreme fire swf and 1 gate nanoAB) for my VFC Scar however, both would require drilling holes into the stock defeating the purpose of its original design. So I opted to remove the fuse for now, at least till someone makes or brings in an actual plug-in mosfets that doesn't require additional wires or modifications (@STEALTH wink wink challenge issued)

Anyways wondering to see what you decided on doing/anyone else.
