KWA vs KSC magpul FPG

What is the difference between the two besides the manufacturers? Are they pretty much the same except the KSC costs more as its from Japan?

redzaku December 15th, 2012 19:34

just import names, both are the same

liver3rpool93 December 15th, 2012 19:37

Ahh alright, thanks!

Styrak December 15th, 2012 19:48

Yup, pretty much the same thing.

i'm not too sure about the glock but for the KWA/KSC p226, i noticed that KWA uses different metal for the frame and internals. As the gun is used, the KWA metal eventually shows this purple-ish tint under the finish while the KSC ones do not.

Doctorpepper December 15th, 2012 20:40

I have the FPG and there both the same

liver3rpool93 December 15th, 2012 20:46

Both the complete kits have the extended inner barrels right?

Styrak December 15th, 2012 20:46

The only difference MAY be the nozzles. Where the KWA is setup for higher power propane and the KSC is set up for lower power duster gas.

KSC's are set up for duster? I think its time I switched :smack::smack:

My KSC Nozzle apparently broke and I have now replaced it with a new kwa one.

I didn't say all KSC's are. However I believe the KSC FPG is the lower power "Japan" version where they use duster gas a lot. Like above there have been reports of the KSC nozzle breaking because it's weaker, made for duster.

Other KSC guns can use propane just fine.

This topic was brought up when I posted about my MGC Glock 17. I'm gonna have to look into getting some duster gas. :smack: I understand not "all" KSC's are, I meant the KSC FPG :)

Correction, KWA and KSC are the same, even the nozzles / loading muzzles.

KSC costs more because the name calls for more $$. The one we have is the KSC model. The box says powered by KSC, instead of KWA.
