Rifle Issues/ Carrying a second gun
Hey guys. I've been reworking my airsoft loadout. I'm trying to get settled into a more permanent setup now. I'm sticking with my usual guns, but I want to make them more efficient during games.
My first issue is that my rifle bounces against my body a lot when it's just dangling on the sling. Whenever I'm running with my sidearm out, I can feel my rifle hitting me in the side or the back. So my first question is, what do you guys do to keep the rifle from moving around? I'm using a single point bungee right now on the SIG 553, sling mounted torwards the stock area of the gun. I can't hold the stock because of a PEQ battery set up. Typically once I'm not using the rifle, I push it on the sling towards my back, so it's not in the way of me taking shots with my pistol.
My second issue, I've found during my last two CQB games, is that I like to use my secondary sidearm a lot. My primary sidearm is a 1911, I've got that holstered in a SERPA on my right thigh most of the time, with the retention so that it doesn't get in the way of my draws. I prefer using my second handgun (Colt Python) whenever I'm just using my sidearm and need to run between cover under fire. I wipe out the second gun and blast away. My main issue is that drawing and holstering that gun is a pain in the ass, since I have nowhere good to put it. My left thigh is used for dump pouching, and I can't rear-mount it because my rifle is already a bit of an issue. I'm thinking the best solution is a MOLLE nylon holster mounted somewhere to my plate carrier. Any ideas?
