It looks like the TOP m249 using WE magazine (which was posted on you tube a year ago)

The use of the WE mag limits the sustained rate of fire of the LMG thus negating the benefits and primary purpose of such a weapon. The limited magazine capacity imposes a stoppage every 30 rounds, when the purpose of an LMG is to provide a sustained base of fire. This was one of the big reasons the Brits picked up a not insignificant number of M249s as an UOR for Afghanistan and basically ditched the L86 as a squad support weapon (for a short time the L86 was retained as a 'designated marksman rifle').

This kit basically provides one with a cumbersome assault rifle. I personally do not see any advantage to using this system.

If someone gets it. I hope that you have better luck feeding the WE STANAG than people do with a real STANAG and M249

Loud LMG = +2 awesomeness

Unless a decent box mag setup is running with in mag CO2 or HPA, using regular mags will defeat the purpose of a suppression weapon. Might as well just operate a lighter weight riffle that will net the same results.

They have a video of the 249 running a box but not sure what the gas system is.

The blow back version should be coming out ... eventually.

No they are not compared to an AEG my Polarstar Stoner is pretty effin loud not as bad as the daytona gun but loud (quieter than a paintball gun firing empty)
