tm g36c battery upgrade
 

hi folks...looking to get second battery for the tm g36c...i have the stock 8.4 that came with it...want to move up to a 9.6...I have a 9.6 1000mah just wondering if that will do if it needs any thing doen to it?

also what battreies do you folks recomend?
any help would be geat

cut the L shape plastic at the end of barrel, then you will be able to accomodate 9.6v mini battery

i have a 9.6 800 that fits fine in mine. (ca 36c, but its a copy of the tm's)

Before you upgrade a battery, what else was done to the gun? When something is DESIGNED for 8.4 volts, going higher is not always a good thing.

i owuld rather not mes with it too much yet..so i will look for 8.4..if i increase the mah...what will that do or should i stick with 8.4v 600 mah?

Read this website about batteries.
The higher the MAH, the longer the battery will last. You will also get a bit more rate of fire. Get whatever will fit (physically) in your gun.
High voltage only wears the motor and parts out faster.
Before you mess with your gun at all, go see an expert and talk to them in person.

remember to take out the fuse or change to a stronger fuse. The fuse for G36c is for mini batteries only.
I tried to connect to a 8.4V 2400mah large battery for testing, and the fuse blown out.

try this for an upgrade USE NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERIES!!!!!!!!!!!

$60 Dollars for ONE peice of garbage NICD 600MAH mini battery
$32 Dollars SHIPPED for TWO 1100MAH NIMH mini Batteries from the US (no duty)

both are 8.4v, with the stupid NICD battery you have to discharge it so you will need to buy a discharger OR use something like a fan to kill it after each charge, with nimh you charge it whenever you want,nimh batteries actually want to stay charged rather than being discharged so charge after every game WITHOUT discharging. also they last MORE than twice as long since nimh batteries can keep 1.2v for LONGER than a nicd.

can you tell me which is the better deal?

BTW i have a G36c with the 1100MAH battery, and i can last for a couple days (each day as like 6-7 20min games)

I have ran my TMG36C (now E) for almost a year now with a 9.6 Volt. I have not seen any unusal wear in any of the parts. Just don't go crazy commando and think you can waste a whole hicap on that group of guys in one trigger pull.

Ok now a new question.
 

Has anyone ever replaced the white battery connector from a small to a large on the gun? Kyosho Connector is what they are called. want to go from a mini to a large cause it's easier to get batteries with that end. so any advice as always is welcome.

I have modified my front end to accomodate a 9.6v 3000mah and I can play all day without even changing it. I was also able to get significant fire rate increase along with added battery life. It costs about 130$ to change the front end but its worth it!

Look on Ebay. You can get batteries with the matching small connector for the TM guns. Like someone said earlier, you can get 2 for $30 or so and they're well worth it.

I did custom work to fit a 7 cell "A" sized battry pack thats capable of 2200mah to fit in my stock G36 handguard. Doing this, instead of buying a larger handguard IMO, is a cheaper alternative.

These batteries are just as good as the 4/5A GP2000 and are cheaper! I think I might try to go with a 9.6v next time.
