What gun should i buy?!

So im new to this site and airsoft, i have 4 years paintball experiance and an selling my BT TM 15 and looking at buying a full metal airsoft gun, but i look online an the amount and variety of brand are unlimited, im looking for something with a hight FPS and some thing accurate with a moderate Us black military look to it, and most important i want some thing reliable cause ive bought many guns that were supposivly durable and crapped out on me within 2 months and yes i clean my markers. im looking to spend up to 440 bucks. but if theres are some near that price or a little over please still let me know.
Also am i better going with a gas gun or an eletric???

Guns i had in mind...

Echo 1 Er25k
$350

Jing Gong Hk416 Crane
$300

Ares M4A1 Full metal
$340

WE KAC PDW Long version Propaine
$380

Those are a few ideas, but im sure that there are 1000000 different others i dont know about... any way any help would be awsome! thanks! :infantry:

Get an electric gun (AEG). GBBR's are not good for newbies or first guns.

I suggest going to a game, borrowing a gun for your first time. Talk with people, ask to fondle their toys, most people will let you.

Get a first hand feel for your options.

King Arms Colt M4 Full Metal Aeg. It's only ~$300

Imo the best bang for buck airsoft gun out there, and it's the gun I recommend to anyone who wants to get started in airsoft.

Rent, go to a game and handle different guns first.

You don't want to buy any gun you've never held before. You might find it uncomfortable as fuck.

As everyone said, better narrow down your preferences a bit first. Any particular models you really like: Armalites (M4/M16), G36s, SIGs, SCAR, bullpups etc. Once you decide on a type of gun, we can guide you better towards reliable brands.

Ughh.

Damn, I NEVER buy any Propane/Gas Guns. CO2 is the way I go. That Gas smells like crap and you constantly have to fill it. I would go for an AEG, Charge the battery, no pain... I highly recommend PDW's if your going in CQC.

As a still fairly new player myself I would say handle a few different guns first. I bought a vk47 after playing with a borrowed ak my first game. I replaced it with a g36 about two months later and now its just gathering dust. Though you might want to look at AKs and G36 variants because they use the glorious version 3 gearbox and if you ever have to make a repair it will be much less stressful. An M4 gearbox literally drove me to drinking once lol.

Ive been looking at the WE 4168, its good in comparison to my old Tm15 which I paintball'd with. Id like the feel of it and its a good outdoors gun. Does anyone no any negatives on this gun? or the WE glock 18? i was looking at that as a secondary. Hoping get the gear this weekend

We GBBR's are good guns, there are tons of aftermarket parts available for them and tons of experienced people with them, as well as guides to maintaining and fixing common problems here on ASC. I also don't recommend GBBR to a newbie, if you're going to game it don't forget to add in the cost of mags.

The WE glocks have a decent reputation, WE had a terrible reputation for pistols but their new ones are getting much better reviews. It wouldn't be my first choice of glocks, they don't feel quite as solid as a TM or a KSC but they are decent shooters.

Also keep in mind your fields FPS limits when selecting a new gun. Alot of WE GBB Rifles need an NPAS installed to get them under 400 FPS
