Yeah no "retard" is written is the same but it means "late" in french and I'm French anyway.

Even the proper English definition for 'retard' is close to 'late'... to retard something is to slow it down, or a retard is someone who is slow. Slow, late. French and English aren't so different after all : )

In Spanish the word retard "retrasado", has both meanings. Someone who's late or someone who's mentally challenged.
