We PDW Full Auto not working Help?

Hi i had bought the WE PDW a couple of weeks a go and finally got it yesterday just to realise that the full auto option is not working :( when i shoot with full auto it only fires 1 shot then it stops completely.
If i try to pull the trigger again it does nothing. Semi mode works fine.
I have removed the upper reciever many times to have a look inside and it dosent look like anything is broken.
Does anyone here have a fix for this?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)))

btw it is not used and totally new, and its probably gen3 but im not 100% sure

redwolf airsoft

Where are you located and what are your return options?

Sight unseen, probably a broken part inside the trigger pack.

ThunderCactus July 24th, 2012 17:25

fire it 10 times really fast in semi, then switch to full and see what happens
mine was laggy in full auto as well, unless it was already cold

dont think that will work cuz i think that the hammer is getting stuck by the sear even though i release the trigger after every burst.

Well does semi auto work?
Because this sounds like the exact same issue I had with mine
Instead of thinking of whether or not it will work, just go try it, worst case it doesn't work lol

Well if we can't diagnose the problem, we can't advise you on how to fix it lol

ok did ur test. fired a couple of quick rounds on semi then switched to auto. for the most part it works! i can fire multiple bursts on auto too :O after i did this i can even start shooting on auto without going through the semi bit. seems i was wrong then :) i haven't done the test long enough to know if this is just some temporary fix.

sometimes the trigger set needs to be worked in. but something could have also been installed wrong.

have you done a full take down, cleaning and re-lube?

edit: you should also loctite everything. the bottom folding stock screw works itself out easily. Also a dab of glue on the bolt catch pin is a good idea. lost mine twice. :(

no i have not done a full take down and i dont plan to since im not an expert and i dont wanna break the gun even more

"Also a dab of glue on the bolt catch pin is a good idea" where is this pin?

Ketil100 July 25th, 2012 09:54

BTW is there aything bad that can happen if you cock the gun while its on safe?

ThunderCactus July 25th, 2012 13:07

what? The gun needs to be cocked before you can put it in safe
you shouldn't be able to put it in safe without the gun being cocked O.o
