WE M14 GBBR basics
I recently purchased an m14 GBB and would like to know what the basics are in maintaning the gun and mags. thanks for your help!
|
THanks for the views...can anyone tell me anything about gas blow-back?
|
EVERYTHING you want is on this site and not hard to find...Look and you'll have all your answers.

Well, run the mags dry and put grease where you feel its needing it and you should be fine.
The action should be smooth. |
Keep everything that has friction with synthetic grease (without petroleum derivates) and keep all your rubber parts oiled with light silicone oil.
As for the barrel, clean it with a plastic cleaning rod, not a metal one. Don't put oil in the barrel as well. |
Thanks, i found on another site that white lithium grease is good for the metal to metal moving parts, would you agree?
|
White lithium grease could be good for AEGs (gears) but as for a GBBR, there is no reason to use it. Stick to synthetic grease like this one;
Synthetic Grease @ CT. Like I said, you should use light silicone oil on everything that is made from rubber on the gun (nozzle o-rings) and on your magazine's seal. |
does that grease work or gbbp's? like on the hahmmer assembly for example. i've using superlube but it's hard to come by where i live and i've always been too scared to switch to that one.
i used it in other sports equipement and it creates a sort off gunky substance. |
is there any parts in a we m14 that are probmatic , or should look out for ?

I'd say the bolt catch, #53 is using itself really quickly. Apparently, the trigger box will break within 10k BBs.
I've had the "bolt" break on mine, but I don't know how, it just snapped where it's connected to the charging handle. |
