ASC back up!
 

Man, that was a long down time.

I was starting to get the shakes.
I'm glad we are back to normal.

I needed my fix pretty bad!!

It was related to a hacker attack actually. Nothing fancy, but some script kiddie managed to get access to a low level user account, and was pinging other servers. It didn't actually affect ASC, but the data center the server is located at had a fit when my system started flooding their network.

I can't guarantee they won't pull the plug again, I'm in the middle of tightening up security. I caught the guy right in the middle of accessing the system, he was kind of idiot, but I'm the bigger idiot for letting it happen.

Yeah I don't like the downtime either - this site alone gets used over 6000 times per day, so I know alot of people are missing out while it's down, sorry guys.

*empties tub, unplugs and puts hair dryer away*

what happend when you caught the hacker? Can you trance his origine and vector fighter bomber to his location or something?

I could, but I decided to just lock him out instead. But the NEXT guy that comes through... *racks slide*

I was in the middle of reading all the new post (4 pages) when the server went down. Now they're all marked read. Oh well, i'm just glad the server is back up. GJ Hojo

Remember it's DOWN THE ROAD not ACROSS THE TRACKS, and use Gillette, they work best.

Too bad we couldn't draw and quarter him. And sell the footage.
