and it's meant to shoot on people ? I'm not playing with people gaming those !!

SINN March 30th, 2012 11:36

Yeah, I am not sure what the intention behind this one is. Is it to show how unsafe and dangerous they are with glass around, or is it to show how hard they are? I can see the big picture, but I don't know if everyone sees that, or just the fact they can smash windows now.

theshaneler March 30th, 2012 11:43

i would like to have seen regular BBs as a comparison

Beowulfe March 30th, 2012 11:48

This is going to be awesome.

Armyissue March 30th, 2012 11:49

Honour, u spelt it rong.

RUSTSPOT March 30th, 2012 11:54

Why would u even be selling these. I can see some kid shooting at random cars/ house with these.

kylem_8 March 30th, 2012 12:19

That looks extremely dangerous. I hope we wont have to start checking BB's at games to make sure no one is using those :(

On another note, the music in the video was way too loud. I couldn't really hear you guys talking at all.

Renegade) March 30th, 2012 12:43

The purpose of this video is clearly missed... FUN!!!!!

Ok no, that is the second purpose. The first is obviously education on Silica's, and what they do to glass. Let me repeat that and bold the point... What they do to GLASS

To think they do any more damage in an airsoft game over styrene bb's is a myth. The only thing they wont do is break or loose as much impact force. To say they will take your tooth out, break skin, break an optic, to name a few... over styrene, isnt fair to say, because ANY BB will do exactly that.

They are banned at Rural fields which have glass at them, be it Windows, Cars, Lights, ect for this very reason. In a non rural field, like a forest, with all players using propper eyeware, these bb's are exceptional, and will not pose any greater risk that regular bb's.

Ok everyone, it's time to retire your plate glass eye protection.

At that ranges with what looks like really old single pane glass... I'm sure a regular BB would have very similar results.

Regular bb's can break glass as well. Silica's just do it more consistent because they are tempered glass, and will not break on impacting the glass unlike a regular bb. Both will impact the same amount of force from the same airsoft gun, the difference is the stopping effect of the glass is neutralized by the fact that the object traveling into it, is harder than itself.

We dont sell them for destructive purposes, they are an elite marksmen bb because they have no air bubbles or deformities, and are invisible to see coming.

SINN March 30th, 2012 12:49

exactly Derek, but this information is what is MISSING from the video. Joe blow that sees that video will not understand the point...they see you shooting glass with your bb's so they will do it.

ex March 30th, 2012 12:53

I have to agree with Sinn on this guys...

IMHO it seems to be counter productive to produce a video like this but not state it's true intent. In fact we all know if we shoot bb's at glass regardless of the bb's medium it's going to eventually break. So what's really the point???

Sorry I found the video to be counterproductive and slightly childish. Check youtube for all the kids shooting at stuff and breaking it. I personally hold BBBastard to a much higher standard than that.

EDIT:
I do have to say the cinematography though is getting better and better :)

kylem_8 March 30th, 2012 12:56

Maybe you guys would like to debunk these "myths" about the clear BB's then?

Do side by side comparisons of the traditional BB vs the clears... say against the skin using the same location on the body with the same gun at the same FPS. Then do this for objects like optics, goggles, ect.

Education would help the general public warm up to the idea of these BB's. And with the introduction of your new YouTube channel it could only serve to possibly help increase revenue of these BB's.

EDIT*** MORE IDEAS OF EQUIPMENT

BDU's
Vests
Radio Equipment
Guns
Mesh Masks

Basically anything someone would be worried about being damaged if someone was to use these.

Renegade) March 30th, 2012 13:05

That is the plan actually. Perhaps this video is a bit pre mature, but it was damn fun to make.

I agree that if people see us shooting cars or a house window or something reckless, ya maybe then our standard is shot and stupid people might replicate it. But we did this in a controlled area, against an old greenhouse scheduled for demolition.

I actually did shoot this glass with regular bb's, they do as you would expect, bounce right off or shatter!

I also did a picture demo a couple years back of regular bb's and silica bb's vs a TM plastic body. It is on these forums and shows a pretty good comparison.
