Airsoft SIG P226R DAK???

Probably a stupid question but I will ask anyways....

I have searched this site and an exhaustive search using google yet hoping it still exists...

I am looking for an airsoft SIG P226R DAK for training purposes (because that's what I use) and there's no point buying one with the DA/SA trigger.

Anyone know where I can get one (assuming it exists)? I would even settle for one with a DAO trigger.

If neither is readily available is it possible to modify one with a DA/SA trigger?

You could theoretically modify a KSC/KWA p226 by removing the trigger sear. Or since the hammer is cocked back by the slide being blown back you could simply file down the top of a hammer enough that the slide doesnt push the hammer down far enough to catch on the sear which would effectively turn a gun into a double action only.

I know that this for sure would work since I have a P2009 that does this. I needed to use some JB weld to get the hammer to catch again.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to have to take a look at one.

I'm curious if the SIG P226 trigger parts are interchangeable with the KJW 226 since they were officially licenced by SIGARMS.

The KJW is a copy of the TM sig which shouldnt be compatable with the real steel. If anything the KSC would be the closest to real steel in terms of parts. But for trigger parts i doubt they would work.

Thanks for the help!

I know a couple SIG armorers and will have to pick their brain.

If I can't swap out trigger parts I will bob the hammer and make it a DAO. I'm sure I could lighten up the trigger pull from the DA trigger pull (12 lbs) to the DAK trigger pull (6.6 lbs). I won't have the short trigger reset but that won't be a loss since I never use it (trigger pull increases by 2 lbs).

The hammer would work for sure if the parts swapping dont. Its been a little while since I took a KSC sig apart down to that level as they are a major pain in the ass to get the sear assembly back together. Like cursing very loudly PITA.

So if your doing it by yourself, modifying the hammer would likely be the easiest. And if you wanted SA again some JB weld and a bit of paint could restore it right back to normal. Yes folks this method does work I've used it on an old SP2009 without a hitch!

That just means they get to put Sig trades on it. Nothing else.
