Real Sword Type 97 Mount Question

Hi guys/gals with the Real Sword Type 97.. just wondering if the dovetail mount width is 11mm or 14mm?

if you mean the Picatinny Mount Base that fits in the handguard, its a 20mm Rail

Or, if you meant the optics mount that attaches to most AKs, it's also a 12mm standard.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies! I provided a pic of the area, and put red lines showing the width I'm interested in (dont mind the green, I just put that in to see the red better). All 3 of them will be the same width. As for the AK comment, I have no idea if they have the same groove or not.

I'm interested if the width is 14mm so I can use the RS 97 Picatinny mount for another 14mm dovetail I have. If that area is only 11/12mm, then it will be a no-go.

Thanks for the reply guys.. but the question isn't answered. I know that the width of the picatinny base is 20mm -- that information is all over the internet.

What I'm asking (as I stated before) is the actual width of the dovetail mount which is on the carry handle of the Type 97. Don't forget, the picatinny rail mounts onto the dovetail mount which is on the Type 97.

Massive necro but I don't care. The guy deserves an answer. It is 9mm across.
