PJ inspiration

Hi guys!

Im currently looking to create a Pararescuman equipement and i need your help to have the right gear.

What kind of camo they have?
What kind of weapons platformthey have?
What kind of bodyarmor/plate carrier/vest they have?
What is the helmet?
Any others idea of gear that is related to PJ equipement?

Thanks!

Ben

EDIT:

Looks like Multicam is there camo
Weapon would be an M4A1 with KAC rail (looks like though any railed m4 would work)
Armor, unknown.
Helmets: Looks like Mich-2000 (but im no expert) I do see some Ops Core Ballistic. (I'm running a Ops Core base jump its close enough, but haung (airsoftdepot) has an excellent copy of the helmet)
Other equipment. Well when it comes to gear it looks like they are given a fair bit of freedom, but Oakley Pilot (S.I. assualt) gloves would fit.

PJs buy gear buy unit. Ie one unit will have different kit from what another has. A unit in Alaska just ordered a ton of Arc'teryx, and I know one unit uses TT stuff because of their closeness to a TT store. A lot Cyre JPCs are used. Lids varry, but most have FAST ballistics. Most rock Multicam Cryes, but like I said a unit in Alaska recently ordered a ton of Arc'teryx.

Since this is an inspired kit, you dont need to be accurate. If you want to do an impression, then you will need the same or replica gear.

Well in the case of Alaksa, due to their weather it's quite different than the rest of the squadrons.

Dingo March 1st, 2012 23:12

And a lot of their stuff is civi work so they dont want to be wearing Multi all the time.

Conker March 1st, 2012 23:17

Yeah, that too^^

But... I just don't think he's looking for a impression of "PJs helps Park Rangers to locate missing backpackers in the Alaskan backcountry"... probably more like "angry PJs kicking asses to reach a wounded Marine" or something along these lines :P

@OP, if you're comfortable with french (at least the basics), this french PJ reenactement website is awesome: http://www.31sts.com/

If you're not comfortable with french, Google Translate will solve that for you :P

Thats a decent website. Im not going to translate because Ive got a year to learn french haha.

@conker, thks for the web site! Its amazing and ill be able to get an idea of what exactly i want to do for my PJ equipment...and since im from the montreal area, i wont have problems with frech ;)

Conker March 2nd, 2012 00:53

Ah c'est excellent ça ;) Tu pourras avoir d'autres infos lÃ*:

Il y a plusieurs gars qui s'y connaissent bien, particulièrement Matfar.

So you're looking more for something as realistic as possible, or just the generic look? Always depends if you're going for a specific year, too... and there's also a difference between the STS squadrons and the RQS squadrons... but read-on what's on these forums, it should break down all of that!

Bravo_Echo_November March 2nd, 2012 00:58

Im looking for something that is as accurate to what these guys wear as possible (whitout it costing me 5000$ :P)...and since i saw that they have all different equipment, its kind of difficult to find what i really want...

Any comment welcome folks ;)

Bravo_Echo_November March 2nd, 2012 01:04

his kit looks a lot to what i want to have! Its freaking sick!!! I will start with what he listed and see after what i want/need to change!
thks a lot!!

You don't need to crye pants. True crye pants will cost allot. Tru Spec or Propper make great Multicam wear. Remember to check haungs for a repro of that helmet if you don't wish to shell out the cash for a real one.

That guys loadout is very well done. Just remember to be patient and acquire it slowly. He never acquired the gear overnight through a few google searches. He worked at it and found what he liked. Oh an personally I agree with 'Coolspy' an Elcan Spectre would look better than the ACOG.
