That is a very sexy looking rifle, but half of me thinks of CoD:MW3 its in the game last rifle unlocked they called it the MSR

peacekeeper January 30th, 2012 02:49

i like it but whats the price gonna be

Curo January 30th, 2012 03:12

Well depends comments of the youtube vid guessed 3000 something about real carbon fibre... really doutful its gona be 3000

I would hazard a guess at 1000-1500 landed similar to other new rifles like what ARES is releasing (m200 cheytac for 1700 anyone?) My only wonders upgrades will it need em and if so which ones and what parts does it take?

Being a VFC made gun I would hope that it is compatible with VSR-10 internals.

It is specified by VFC that it will be compatible with TM VSR 10 internals i think they used the VSR 10 system for it

Kos-Mos January 30th, 2012 12:24

I would guess it uses the TM L96 system with a VSR-10 bolt... easier to take something that works for the mag than build something from the ground.

And since the TM L96 is also "VSR-10 system based", it makes sense.

ap27 January 30th, 2012 12:53

Wish they'd make a left-handed bolt for it :(

Curo January 30th, 2012 12:56

I'm a lefty to and its not bad pulling right handed bolts, It's never mattered for me.

phloudernow January 30th, 2012 14:50

good thing about this rifle is that the integrated rail system on it allows one to attach lots of super cool shit :D

MSR is a Remington, I believe it won the contract for US Military to supplement/replace M24....

Random note, both MSR and ASW appeared on the TV show Chuck...:D

Curo January 30th, 2012 15:19

I thought the SR25 was going to replace the m24? Damn I'm outta sync with the weapons world.

to be more politically correct its the, M110, which is an upgraded version of the SR25, Im not too sure but i think the M110 uses the same E3 Bolt system as the KAC's SR16 series :)

On the note of the MSR that is def Remington tho, this gun might look the same as that

RacingManiac January 30th, 2012 15:27

M110 AFAIK is for a different purpose. They are keeping a bolt gun in their arsenal, and that was what MSR is supposed to be for. Its going to be in 300 Magnum as opposed to 7.62 NATO though.

Both MSR and this are still based on the same action as the Remington 700. Just a different tactical "Chassis"...

Padkiller January 30th, 2012 16:12

Airsoft GI says it's gonna be 800 to 1000$!!!
Definitively sick, but it's too "light" for a sniper rifle! I mean that it's too light for me, can't recall the exact weight!
But I'd say it's a good alternative to a VSR-10 or L96!

Freeze January 30th, 2012 17:23

A gas L96 costs like half that. -.-

THIS NEEDS MORE MANUFACTURERS!!!
