corcoran boots were what was issued then. I have a pair in black for my vietnam kit. let me tell you; I've worn half a dozen differnt brands, and corcoran jump boots have been BY FAR the most comfortable to wear. well worth the 100US I spent for them.

Agreed; I believe they make boots to the exact specs they used back than, and there might even be a couple of other manufacturers that do repro's too but I'd go corcoran.
I'd pay that much for the quality, and I'm kind of a bargain hunter in terms of looking for deals on gear. |
omg i'm thinking of getting those too. your arbourne kit inspired me too...as did re-watching Band of Brothers for the 5th time.
And thanks yeoman and concept for the info on the corcoran brand. |

The pictures I have from the only infantry combat jump in Vietnam show the soldiers using standard jungle boots, not jump boots.

Not sure about your american boots but I can say I buy a lot of German stuff from At the Front. I find their quality and faithfullness to orginals to be well worth the extra money.
$130 ain't that bad for boots if you think about it since a pair of sneakers can cost you $100 CAD, hell my hockey skates were 3 times that amount. |
Just got my M1942 Paratrooper Uniform from there so the Jump boots will be soon just gotta finish my webbing up.
