does anyone know where to find a higher quality abs lower for we hicapa 5.1? Mine has a slight crack due to poor design in the hammer stop.

I don't think you'll find a higher quality plastic lower. Hi-capas were always designed with metal lowers, we only have plastic lowers as a concession to our stupid laws. I'm not 100% sure about the compatibility but you can try getting a TM compatible hi capa lower, they're relatively easy to find.

You're asking for the receiver.

I have OEM Tokyo Marui METAL receivers for sale. It's a direct drop-in replacement with the WE Hi-Capa. It's at least a million times more durable than the crappy WE plastic receivers.

it's the magwell/trigger guard/handgrip piece on the Capa that's technically restricted to import.

You have it completely reversed. It's the RECEIVER/FRAME that is PROHIBITED to import, as it's a replica of the registered part of a real 2011.

The grip is fine to import. It is not the registered component, thus, this part can not be deemed as "the firearm" as described by the Firearms Act of Canada.
