Would you replace the outer metal casing of your aging magazine if you had the option?

PLEASE vote!

Once you are done here, please see the following threads for the other parts of the polll:

I replace my WE outer shells with MAGPUL Pmags...much more durable and allow for a custom fit !

How can you replace them, does Magpul make a drop-in replacement for WE mags??? If so, can you please include a link.

TX!

I think he's talking about real steel PMAGs, which you have to cut and mod.

Sounds like a pain in the ass to me! ;)

Stealthee November 19th, 2011 02:33

Yeah, AFAIK that's the only option for PMAGs on the WE platform.

Reckless November 19th, 2011 03:46

stubby mags for KJW? ... maybe? .. please? .. lol

-Trooper- November 19th, 2011 11:06

It really depends on whether it would be cost effective as well provide a more secure fit in the mag well.

kullwarrior November 19th, 2011 12:43

I think the main thing about this poll is that it only applies to WE and WA owners who use GHK mags

Personally, I like the GHK mag shell over WE. Would I replace them? Probably not, I'd rather buy more mags than having only 6.
I like the 20 rounder design over the 30 rounder simple because its more gas efficient.

They are time consuming to modify since each one is done by hand, which is why they are expensive to do. Time = $$$$

Well I didn't even find a place to get them... from what I understood, they are export restricted in the states...

Questar sells em like $25-30 a pop depending on quantity.

I've never had a problem with the outer casings of my GBBR mags. My problems have always been with the marginal, leaky internals.

Come up with a GBBR mag that isn't a leaky POS and you will make a few $$$.
