Nope.
|
To be honest no. If you had managed to save a bit more or get age verified you would have access to the classified and sometimes very good deals.
For sure you will be able to play with it, but you wont be very competative against true airsoft guns. And you may become discouraged, I suggest if possible you return it to Canadian Tire and save up a bit. The season is pretty much over anyways. That way next year you will be alkl set to play. |
Simply.. No.
Get Age Verified, find better in the classifieds or through a good retail location (there's a list that you will have access to once you're AV'd) |
What makes it not worth it?
While the specs are wrong on the website. it Fires at 350 FPS. I Find it very accurate. Just looks ugly |
To be honest, no.
You should have saved, and be patient. Game it until it breaks, then buy better quality. |

Edit: We are not tying to shit on you bud, if you are satisfied with your gun by all means have fun,, that what airsoft is about. But we are suggesting there are better choices because alot of us have made these same mistakes and are poorer in the long run when a bit of saving would have netted us a much better playing experience. |

Suggest you erase link, this is not the av section. |

@ OP: A 300 FPS TM if given a few upgrades could probably outrange a lot of the cheaper clones and be more accurate. Reason being, tighter tolerances and generally better QC standards.
eg. Take a stock TM or other high quality gun (KA, G&P, CA, VFC, etc.), assuming it comes stock with a 1J or M90 spring or whatever. It'll shoot pretty solidly and is perfect for CQB. Put in a new bucking (guarder clear, prommy purple or whatever the cool kids are using these days) and a upgraded hop up spacer and you'll be golden. Maybe upgrade the spring to an M110 and then you'll have a formidable gun for whatever you paid for it and upgrades that cost you under $40. Finally remember that it's the player not the gun. I've been shot by a really really good player with a $15 Wally world special but for most people that just won't cut it. However you'll need at least something competitive. Sure you could get a cheapo snowboard from Wally world or whatever but wouldn't it be a better use of your money to rent a "real" snowboard or at least spend a decent amount of money on a decent entry level setup. You'll still probably get smoked by the pro sponsored riders riding Wally world specials against your entry level board but at least you can be somewhat competitive. You don't need to purchase some crazy Option, Forum, Ride, Burton or whatever setup but at least if you get a decent entry level you'll have fun ripping the mountains. |
Just make sure to do thorough research and read as many reviews as you can so you can make an educated decision before your next purchase. Also get age verified as stated above so you have a much better selection of those better quality guns(CA, TM, G&P etc.) I made sure to do extensive research before purchasing my first gun and it hasn't let me down. In doing your due diligence it will help you avoid investing money into a lemon gun that may or may not break down on you within the first few weeks of using it. Good luck with your search when you decide to upgrade.

Hell, I got my Palco M4 for 200$ with 6 mags, and a battery. I've since put a lot of work into the gun, including 3 mechbox rebuilds and about 100$ of parts, but that gun taught me a *lot* about gunsmithing for airsoft, so really it was a bit of a tinkering adventure, which is right up my alley. The gun now fires about 350fps with a tightbore barrel and a nice reliable grouping. Get Age Verified, and start hunting for cheap deals. You'll find a much better gun for not that much more money, especially if you can convince the person to keep some accessories. (People are notorious for trying to package 500$ of crap around a 200-300$ gun.) Besides. It probably won't look like crap, either ;-) Welcome to airsoft. (can be) Bloody expensive, but worth every minute of it. Start savin' yer pennies! :-) |
