AK scope mount installation?

Hey there.

Looking to have an optics plate installed on my G&P AK body, just can't seem to find any guides online that'll help (Unless i'm seriously missing something.)

Just working on building a DMR AK and i'm close to finalizing it.

Sight rail

I havet he same problem with my RS AK, no instrucutions or mount areas on the body. I guess we are just supposed to know?

5 seconds on google got me this: http://www.thecountryshed.com/ak47_scope_mounts.htm

Some of those might work.

Those dust cover mounts are terrible. I'll pass.

MKW got the link i'm looking for though, blah, how did I miss that?

I was expecting something different in terms of installation, guess this makes a bit more sense.

Thanks :)

what kind of rail are you attaching? a mount like this: http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=889 just screws in with existing screws.

Er, would prefer to avoid those. I want a side mounted plate for the gun, as it should be.

Thanks

as long as you have a drill press and a tap small enough i think it would be pretty easy.
