KA 40mm grenade "o"rings ??

Hi guys
I am looking for replacement Orings for my king arms grenades. The ones that hold the BB's in to be specific. I was able to find this:
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1313

but as u can see $15 is a little much to just get a sinlge Oring.
if anyone knows where i could get a bunch of these for less rthen $15 that would be awesome.

Try checking with a R/C hobby store, they may have them

Find the size, go here: http://www.allorings.com/

Might as well check with local players if they need to stock up, single orings are stupid inexpensive but there's probably a minimum shipping cost.

Other option, just use anything that fits. These orings will have to be replaced from time to time with normal use, just keep a couple handy.

you can just use some teflon tape

Tried already. Closest fit was a sealing ring from an LST differential.
Truck is discontinued now.

A rubber band small enough to fit in the groove works.
Everytime I used a 40mm shell, I blew that ring out the barrel...

Some plastic/rubber hair bands work too. My GF got a box of 200 of them for 5$... and so far she has not noticed the 20 or so missing.

Thread necro!

I didn't want to start a new thread for this.

I recently replaced the o-rings on my KA 40mms

I used some dollar store fabric covered hair rubber bands

Here's the pesky little bastard that keeps breaking!

I bought some dollar store hair rubberbands (be sure not the buy those with the metal gromet)

https://nxsa3q.bn1.livefilestore.com...775.JPG?psid=1

just stretch it into place where the o-ring was.

for the part that didn't fit,

I simply heated it up very lightly with my little blowtorch (you can also use a lighter)

https://nxsa3q.bn1.livefilestore.com...778.JPG?psid=1

And push it into place using your nail (something hard that will fit) while it's still warm and soft

And voilĂ*!

We'll see how long these will outlast the normal stock o-ring in the coming season.

I'll try to keep you guys posted.

You can also use the smaller hair elastic bands, the more of them you use, the stronger the hold on the BBs

I use O-Ring sets found in plumbing departments for 0-Ring replacement on my KA Shells - IE from Moen, Hamilton Standard - usually meant for plumber 'professionals'.

An O-Ring is generally just an O-Ring.. in applications like the 40mm grenade - doesn't need to be special with a special price. In the case of the O-Ring used for BB retention, lube it with a dab of silicone oil once installed - this will increase the time between need for replacement.

When i used to run an m203 i couldnt find replacement rings and befor i figured out to use hairties or rubber bands i just used wads of paper towwel to hold the bbs in.
Also for a cool look when you shoot substitute one or two chambers of bbs with either crushed chalk or baby powder rolled up like a cigarette in paper towel with the ends twisted.
I used to take a whole sheet one of the select a size types cut it into four strips length wise and roll the powder up in it stick a bit of masking tape on the loose edge then cut it to length and twist the ends. Just make sure your up wind or you mah get a facefull of powder lol
