Marushin Mossberg M500 (With propane)

Hello fellow Airsofters,

I'm seriously looking into getting a Marushin M500 but I have a little concern about propane compatibility. I'm trying to fing a step by step guide with pictures and parts needed. I've found this really usefull thread: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...highlight=m500 that shows how to take down the shotgun, but nothing about what I need to make it propane compatible. I could also just get the ACM version and change the charging handle, but I'd rather get the Marushin one.

If someone could be kind enough to respond with a step by step guide, I'm sure that me and lots of people here would find it useful.

Thanks in advance :)

From what I understand the gun is Propane capable already, I think its just a matter of replacing seals and having O-rings for the barrel handy (And better pump bars, regardless of maruzen or ACM)

Thanks for the quick reply, I've read that the reservoir doesnt keep the propane inside because of the pressure. The ACM version seems to be propane ready.

I found this: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/falcon-en...shin-m500.html maybe it could help...( I know it's from the EHA :( )

I've had one for years, been running it on Propane the whole time, never did anything to convert it.

Thats good to know BloodSport thanks. Usually what part could break using propane and where a replacement could be found?

Pretty much nothing, they are built like a tank. Really the main issue with them is the cocking levers which just wear out from cocking. And have nothing to do with the propane usuage.

yes, replace the cocking levers right away. the stock ones are all extremely soft and can be bent by a 2 year old. once you get steel ones in, you can pump it harder and have at it. (also safer to rack it one handed)

use oily gas, ie a couple drops every fill and keep gas in the reservoir at all times especially for storage.

Thanks again guys. I'm convince.

I'd love to get one of these, but I have no idea where to get them from. I don't know if this is an AV only section so I'm not going to ask here.

Any idea on the approximate cost of both the Marushin and the ACM varieties?

Strelok July 13th, 2011 02:01

The AV section is the 'Age of Majority' section.

As for price. I've seen then go from anywhere 350 to 450. Check the retailer threads in the Retailer Classifieds for the ones that can custom order you stuff, see if they can help you.
