Gear Conundrum: Condor or Flyye?

In a pickle about what to order for my next load out. This is for a full load out, plate carrier and the whole shebang... What have people's experience been on the two companies and their products? As I don't really know anyone who owns either, I'd like some input from those who may already own a product and their reasoning for purchasing it over a competing product.

In advanced of your posts, thanks for your advice and input on the matter.

Flyye. Definitely.

Flyye are way better quality than condor.

Have to go with everyone else and say Flyye FTW

Sadly, not many stores are stocking Flyye products... the only reason to go Condor would be because it's easier to find locally or replace if there's a defect, but over all (that's a lot... lost count a while ago) the Flyye gear I've had, never had a single defect. Over the 8 Condor items I've had, 3 were defects. They were replaced as I had purchased them locally, and our local store is great, but... as much as I prefer buying local, Flyye quality is better than Condor.

If you go with Flyye, Ehobby, Royaltiger, and Shootercbgear are the only online shops with Flyye vests in stock. I believe its $225 for Flyye Force recon land from shootercbgear and that is with shipping.

Condor seems to be really common around most retailers and even army surplus stores, but I'd say the quality...while it isn't subpar, it isn't the greatest either. Some of the stuff is alright, other products look like they're not held together by the best stitching or whatever.

I've torn condor pouches apart with bare hands. Stitching is terrible.

FLYYE is much better in terms of quality and the 1000D is heavier than Condor 600D
You can tell with a side by side comparison that FLYYE has better stitching and ready for rigorous milsim.

I started out with my old Phantom (Pantac) Mar-CIRAS, Great product just wanted a change since it was 3-yrs old .

So I tried out the Condor QPC[gamed 4 times], MOPC [not comfortable for me] and OPS Chest Rig [gamed 2 times]. I Ended up keeping just the OPS chest rig as it feels like nothing when you wear it and carries everything I need in a quick skirmish/short game. (kangaroo pouches, general purpose pouch and dual 40mm pouch)

I have just recently acquired a Flyye RRV with various pouches and it's a great alternative to purchasing EI or HSGI gear. Stiff when you first get it so there is some break-in period for it. Overall, The quality surpasses Condor in this respect.

Choose which is comfortable/fits your wallet as both are around the same price depending on the vest you go with and the pouches you choose to configure your vest with.

If i could redo it all over again I'd go straight to Flyye. I ordered from Royal Tiger military. Ehobby also has Flyye instock.

Cheers

Nothing wrong with condor, but the quality of Flyye is better if you can find it in stock.

Condor = accessible.
Flyye = better quality.

That's because it's cotton thread.

Both are good I own both. No preference for one over the other.

Ghostnote June 3rd, 2011 08:21

Having owned a full load out of both Flyye and Condor, I can say nothing really stands out about Condor with the exception on their soft shell jacket. Maybe the ops chest rig as wel since that has held up for me suring at least twenty or so games. The stiching on my condor pouches are starting to come loose so putting heavy things like gas mags in them are not a good idea. All my Flyye gear still looks new... minus the paint. Go with Flyye if you can find a place with it in stock.

I own a Condor "tactical" jacket, and the quality is good enough for my needs.

I'll say...the condor jackets are just about the best tacjack I've ever owned...over and above the SOARD and many others.
