Busted M15A4

I have a CA M15A4 that doesn't seem to be working anymore, is there anyone out there in the Edmonton area that is capable of problem solving/fixing these things? I am willing to pay for your services, I just want to get this unit working again. The season is upon us if you know what I mean......

my email is *modsnipped - pm for email address*

Thanks

Hey Lampshade, welcome to ASC. As you can see a post has been linked for you by another member which should help point you in the right direction.

I removed your email address from your post. I'm afraid that we've had a fair number of spambots crawling the site lately, and they will readily pick up on your email address as they parse the site, which would undoubtedly lead to finding yourself added to all kinds of spamlists.

Cheers.

Yes, because no other issues about any other guns have been posted on this site.

He didn't even say what's wrong with it.

Lampshade May 11th, 2011 22:15

thank you Styrak. I just need to figure out what's wrong with the gun

Styrak May 11th, 2011 22:16

Well find a local gundoctor. Or send it to me :p.

Or start in the Doctor's Corner where you should have posted this, and post symptoms of what is happening. Who knows, maybe your battery just isn't charged or something simple like that.

Lampshade May 11th, 2011 22:19

I didn't even see the doctors corner, sorry. Also, the battery is shit, but it's charged...kinda. I think it's a loose connection inside somewhere, but I can't get the thing completely apart. I need someone who knows what they're doing with these suckers. But thanks anyway.

Styrak is a gun-doctor... might want to take him up on his offer.

I believe there is a user by the name Sam/Samuel on the EAR boards that can try to see whats wrong. Apparently he's magic, not sure if he's still doing gundoc work but you could try contacting him to see what he can do for you.

all fixed.
wiring was shredded (missing insulator in multiple sections)
wiring replaced with milspec teflon coated
Mechbox was divine.
reinforced EVERYwhere
even a groove for the wire to go under the motor shaft.
shimmed by someone with intellegence and skill.
lubed and rebuilt shooting mid 350s.
its a nice aeg
the biggest issue away from the wiring (likely shorted out the battery)
is that the little screw that holds the motor pinion is missing.

once we get a screw, or aftermarket Pinion or a new motor (worse case)
he'll be set and gaming
