M4 Upgrading problem

So I'm currently in the process of upgrading my G&G GR16 or M4. And one of the upgrades I'm doing is adding a full metal body. But when i was in the process of removing the front barrel i came into a snag. This Metal pole going all the way across the top front part of my AEG and blocking the teeth to which i need to turn in order to remove the front barrel from the upper receiver. Anybody that has any idea into how exactly i should go about removing this damn obstruction so i can take off the front barrel would be great!

Just to get a better idea...

That's a mock gas tube. take off your front sight and it will slide out.

There may or may not be a grub screw on the bottom of the sight, and there will be 2 either pins (which you will have to put some balls into to hammer out) or screws. Is it a regular triangle sight?

YouTube - M4 AEG Front Sight Removal

Your pins might be alot stiffer than in the video but just keep at em and they'll come out.
