im kinda new and was wondering what (56k warning) ment? i see it alot in the for sale stuff..

it refers to an almost extinct species of dinosaurs

we had the slow connexion trying to display big pics in 800x600 and the page taking time to open, now we have grainy cellphone pics in 3000x3000 and the page taking time to open

Back in the day when 56kbit connections were the norm things would load up really slowly. It refers to people using a 56Kbit/s modem or approximately 7 KByte/sec. Nowadays with broadband (DSL/Cable) it's a non issue.

For the record I'm only in my early 20's but my family were early adopters of technology. Even before that, there was 2400 baud or 14.4K connections (I've never used one of those, but that's the stuff of legends).
