Exact correct colour for "nam guns
 

Hi Guys: I'm planning on refinishing a colt ar-15 marked m16a1 shorty. I just got AV'ed but that hasn't been officially added yet since the weekend. I plan on buying an xm177 flashhider and a few other accessories, but I want everything the same colour, I would like to finish the gun in a slate gray or something close to nam issue. Is flat gunship gray close?? Thanks, John

Issue XM117's from Vietnam would be a Slate Black colour. A little grayish but still very much black. Slightly lighter than what most modern M16's are coloured.
