Importing my tommygun

I'm trying to import a M1A1 typewrigter and the canada border websit says That i'd have to get a special permit since it's a non generalized gun. But if I take off the drum would it become a generalized thompson?

Hey, I found two links that can help you out with your question.

Hope this helps.

That is unfortunate.

This community has strict rules regarding importation information, we would require you to become "age verified" before our members could share this information with you.

What I suggest you do is meet up with an Age verifier in your area ASAP. And speak to them about what you could do to help with your issue.

Just be aware that importation is never a clear cut process and that dispite all your best efforts you may still be unsuccessful in importing, this is why we encourage new members to research before doing so.

I hope this advice helps, please understand we must respect our communities rules and therefor cannot provide further information.

Good luck

FYI generalized means it shares general firearm traits without being a replica of a specific model. This means pink off scale kit bashes should pass, like water guns.

You're not even near the right zone for importation.

Long story short, geet AVed and buy from a canadian source. Don'ttt attempt to iimport, you'll loose your money.

Won't work, you can't do it.

You're going to have to talk with a supervisor and get something down on paper.

They'll be reluctant to do it however so you're pretty much SOL unless you get AV'ed on this site and get someone who does custom orders to possibly include your stuff in one of their shipments.

Or do it yourself but it's a lot of hassle and the specific information regarding that is in the AV only section. So sorry.
