General Question

The AEG guns I can buy once I get in contact with a local AV'er, through the players on the site. I'm gonna assume they're all metal. No clear/tinted parts. Should I get my PAL/RPAL first? If this question is against the rules(so many things I see are) Let me know.

Thank you!

No, you don't need a PAL/RPAL, they're not firearms. Your verifier will help you over this, so don't be afraid to ask questions :).

And yes, they're all metal. No clear shit.

WannaBeNoob March 28th, 2011 01:42

Just making sure. Because they are technically replicas. Also. No direct answer, because I know this is against the rules. BUT, I know you can't just buy them in Canada. Imported from what countries? And Thank you!

You can buy in Canada, if they're already in country, they are fair game.

Do NOT try to import yourself.

Also, this belongs in Newbie section to prevent flaming.

I figured, But at the same time. The main question was if I needed to get a PAL and what the guns are classified as. So, I figured "Can't shut up about guns?" worked.

They are classified as replica fire arms, and you do not need a PAL/RPAL.

If you genuinely feel uncomfortable about guns (or gun-shaped pellet launchers), it wouldn't hurt to get a PAL. Otherwise, as everyone else said, they're legal to acquire so long as their already in country.

Not exactly...
Most if not all are considered an Imitation Firearms, or unregulated firearm.

Don't let the word "Firearm" thrown in there scare you a whole lot ;)
As stated by everyone else above, no PAL/RPAL required.

Well, thanks everyone for clearing it up for me. I'm still going for my PAL anyways. A second question (Will post in proper forum too) is there is a local AV'er in my city! He's labeled Inactive and only as "Rick" What could I do about finding/contacting him.
