Would that work? Says for open-bolt WE rifles.

Ross March 8th, 2011 17:11

I thought the open bolt npas was for all open bolt guns? I hope anyway.

hattrick March 8th, 2011 18:10

On the ra-tech site, it says that unit is for the pdw...different nozzle ?

.

i made the mistake of buying this for it...as per one of my gundocs it will NOT work...you need the PDW NPAS for the CLOSED BOLT version.

LOL...stop calling me on the Internet...it's dinnertime and I have a steak on the grill right now.

The theory behind it is that the float valve...similar to a hicapa or 226 valve...is moved forward or back changing it's timing on how quick it switches over to recoil cycle.

So...basically if the valve fits the nozzle body and seals well...it should work.

Frankly...I haven't looked at the G39 nozzle insides to mic it out and measure what's what.

I think G36/39 mags are ugly and a PITA....so really don't have much interest in that model.

If you want...I can take a look at it and just make a valve for you. It's be neat to turn it on the lathe as a weekend project.

I was told to buy the open bolt NPAS and follow the install instructions for the M14. I still haven't tried it because it hasn't arrived but from looking at other forums, it seems that following the instructions for the M14 open-bolt installation works just fine.

Ross March 8th, 2011 22:25

you can just email ra tech and ask. They usually answer if it means a profit for them.

Your Gundoc is dead wrong.

That is the NPAS for the WE G39. The WE G39 is an OPEN BOLT SYSTEM gun.

Ninja_En_Short March 8th, 2011 23:26

Hum, Invasian you mixed up what I said, you had the closed bolt one which I could not put in the G39.

I just installed two open bolt in yours and mine, shoots 410/420 fps completely open.

For installation you have to file too small bits in the nozzle on which the NPAS presses. If not the power is not even 300 fps with 23°C.

Same NPAS for PDW, M14, G39 and probably for open bolt SCAR and M4, haven't tried yet.

Invasian March 9th, 2011 16:07

my bad. I stand corrected.

sorry for the confusion.

I was under the impression that the NPAS isn't available yet for the G39 models from RA tech. They have a custom G39 for sell with build in nPAS but the individual unit isn't for sell yet.

As to some of you moding existing parts to fit... That isn't the part made for the gun if u have to file down parts... But it'll work granted.
