will my M4 barrel be confiscated at the border? If it is shipped from the a retailer in the US.

Its just a barrel, dude.

Read the FAQ's, there is a LOT of written stuff on this subject.

It really just narrows down to Suppressors, Receivers (Lower for AR's, and whatever happens to bear a serial number I beleive.) and magazines with fake bullets in them.
