The goblin solo was small enough to be a novelty piece or hidden weapon for an airsofter. But the deuce looks like a childish dart gut and in my opinion would sell alot more to airsofters if it were slightly larger.

These things are awesome! I liked mine so much I bought two. :D (Dual-wielding double-barrel shottie pistols is now my preferred method for rapid room-clearing. ;))
While they're not true to life "real-steel" replicas, they are a lot of fun. They fit nicely in the hand, and I can stuff one in a double M4 mag pouch, though the grip protrudes from the side. (They come with a custom hard-shell MOLLE/belt holster, but it takes up too much real estate for me.)
The trigger setup is similar to the Solo, in that there is no sear; it's a simple lever system, so a quick stiff trigger pull is required for best operation. As it's essentially barrel-less, the BB dispersion is crazy; essentially a cloud of 12 or 24 BBs expanding rapidly right from the muzzle.
The single/dual barrel switch engages & disengages the right barrel's pin, so that I can fire the left barrel, then flip the switch to fire the right; or I can fire both at once. Switch is well placed, I can fire consecutive barrels nearly as fast as a semi-auto.
Really, the shells and firing mechanism are so simple, I can't ever see a problem occuring besides o-rings wearing over time. I've had no problems with mine yet; the o-rings on the shells were a little dry when purchased, but a few drops of silicone oil solved that.

You get the gun, holster, two shells, a CO2 adapter, and two sets of spare o-rings for the shells, all for $90. And they're assembled in Canada. :salute: I think it was a great buy.

Also, a little birdie mentioned a hint of a possible rumour that a barrel & stock extension might be being prototyped as an add-on kit, that would give it more of a Mad Max sawed-off look.

and to top it off they work with propane, iv been using mine with propane and .12s and it works great for short range wide dispersion.

Wondering if the madbull shotgun shells would work in this thing? Does it have a center firing pin?

this video shows the firing pins @ about 00:19. They look dead centre to me.

Mad bull shells do in fact work with the goblins. Both the original and the madbull shells work best on CO2.

Might have some FPS issues.

CRAP. Unless of course I use 5 bb's in the shell.

Guess I can always use propane and it will reduce FPS.

Please for good educate do not post links to other reviews in my review thread, especially considering I covered the shell function in grueling detail in my second video.

That being said I fully support and encourage Independent reviews done by players for players, as I am one myself.

I haven no conformation madbull shells work but i have heard (with no visual conformation of my own) of several people using tanaka shells without a problem

I actually bought from a local paintball shop, paintballgear.ca; had to go straight to Goblin to get extra shells with the "6mm nitro" airsoft casings though.
They do work with propane, but I find that not all BBs will clear the shell all the time. Most firings leave one of the four chambers on the shell still loaded. (Not a huge issue, still have 3 more chambers of 3 BBs each swarming out the barrel like angry bees. :twisted: ) Problem disappears with CO2, plus the muzzle report is much more satisfying.
The twinned barrels are actually one solid piece of high-grade machineable plastic, with plenty of space between barrels to drill & tap for rails or accessories. The barrel ends are thick enough to tap for extensions or silencers too. Heh heh... silenced shotguns-pistols; I'm tempted to try.

What im wondering is if the shells would work in a Tanaka 870. and better still, how hard it would be to make a 12 shell revolving launcher for it....hmmmm i got some R&D to do.

the shells hold their own gas the tanaka hold the gas in the stock

your thinking of some of the semi gas shotguns the tanaka m870 used gas shells, madbull makes some for it as we already discussed here.
