Mosfet/Trigger problem

Hey guys, with my new AK it has the Mark III mosfet, the one with the 3 round burst, and all those fancy features. I wasn't interested in these, more-so just for the contact protection, but this is how it came. The thing is, when I set it up for the normal setting, IE after the starting buzzes, 5 semi shots and a burst of full auto, when I go back into semi it buzzes in between shots every time. This is not only a little annoying but stops me from using my high response, as the buzzing seems to inhibit firing. Has anyone heard of or had this problem? I've tried looking everywhere for information on this, including the mosfet instruction manual etc, but haven't found anything.

Could anyone give me some insight on what could be the problem?

Is this the Don P one? On mine I just tap five shots in single and it's set.

I don't know what V mine is off the top of my head though.

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure. I'll try that though, see if that changes anything

EDIT: Does the same thing :(

Well it was brought to my attention from a friend of mine that the Mark III has a battery warning, so that MAY be it. I'm fully charging my battery just to make sure.

Here are the two common problems that come to mind;
1) low battery (buy a good charger!)
2) improper software settings (do a factory reset and set it all up again)

+ for the reset!

I had strange problem with my TMIII maybe once or twice but as soon as its reset it works like a new

Well I charged it over night and it's working perfectly! Must have been the low battery warning, as I've used the same battery for a while just admiring my gun...so it must have just ran a bit low.

NiMH batteries will lose their charge over time too

Seems that I have run into yet another problem. Now, when I pull the trigger, a short high pitched buzz happens every time I pull the trigger. I can't fire at all now...tried the factory reset and making sure my battery is fully charged...nothing. Is my mosfet fried?

Danke January 19th, 2011 02:02

Try it with the motor out of the pistol grip.

Make sure you hang onto it when you pull the trigger though.

Twin#1[Op-for] January 19th, 2011 20:08

It can't be the motor since its brand new, never even been out to a game. But I'll try anyways..

ThunderCactus January 20th, 2011 00:20

Sometimes the body arcs through the motor and it shorts the TM so it won't start.
Had that happen with both magnum motors I tried, and a G&P M140 that I used for a while (screwed that motor up good after 4 months of 1500rpm).

Twin#1[Op-for] January 20th, 2011 00:22

If this is the case, will I need a new motor? I sure hope not... just installed it and I'm anxious to get gaming again...:(

EDIT: I think I have a faulty mosfet. This is just getting rediculous...today it started randomly changing the firing settings. Now its stuck on 3 round burst on auto, and normal semi. Also if I fire my gun for like 20-30 seconds of bursts and semi, as I was testing it out, the mosfet gives me the 3 beeps which means its overheating. WTF! A mosfet shouldn't overheat after 20 seconds of shooting...
