Start by reading this? :)

The 500 FPS rule doesn't apply to airsoft guns. That's for pellet / BB guns only.

As for airsoft laws specifically, that's a whole other huge topic.

I recommend first you read the thread FACE listed, and then look around the forum and read the FAQs. You'll find all you need to know there.

I live over in Port Coquitlam so I now the local stores and really, if there is anything you can't find online, just go in and ask someone locally. That is how I get started. We can't tell you were to buy guns until you're Age Verified, but I'm sure Google would get you started :P All the stores with them in stock they just need you to be 18 to purchase them. If there is anything you can't an answer on just ask, I know I would be happy to help and I am sure everyone else is too :)

Well thats just an example I want to know what that is I believe thats airsoft?

Its what is commonly referred to as softair. Then there is airsoft which is quality electric, gas or spring guns, then there is pellet which shoots various size pellets.

I have to ask, how old are you? Airsoft is an 18+ sport.

A word to the wise, meet up with your local Age Verifier. You will find tons of good guns both used and new here on the boards. However you can expect to pay between 300 and 800 to get a good starting setup.

Airsoft is not cheap like softair.

I hope this helps.

+1.

Local age verifiers are listed somewhere. Local clubs are listed somewhere. If you're not into buying stuff on the internet (i.e. through ASC's classifieds), there are some guns for sale right now on the local club forums that aren't your typical clearsoft/softair/crapsoft/whatever-you-want-to-call-it.

If you can, get AV'd. At least you can get a feel for the market before you spend money on stuff.

That and if you go to an AVers house like I did then they may let you hold their guns. So you can get an idea of how heavy duty they are.
