Filmed skrimish with a $57 spy camera

Hi guys,

Just to show you what you can get for $57 bucks...Personally I found it not bad at all, for a rather inexpensive camera and it is always cool to look at your skirmish again at home!:p

P.S: Can someone tell me how to embed the vid directly on this page, I though that putting the link was doing the trick, but apparently not...:(

You know, you can buy those for less than $20 if you searched up MD80 on eBay, you didn't need to pay $57.. I have the same one, I use it for CAPS.

Well the clone ones I saw someguys with them and there was some major lag the framerate was awfull and it was all jerky. I simply decided to buy the real one, not a clone one. The quality is better than what's shown on youtube and I am positive that it is better than the clone one at $20.

Edit: actually looking at your vid you can clearly see the better quality of image on mine. I simply did not wanted to pay 20-25$ for a clone and be disapointed and then ordered the real deal and having wasted 20-25$...

Not bad not bad.

For $50 bucks...I was actually quite surprised I was sure that the image would have been crappy at best!

The reason mine lags a bit wa sbecause TTAC had low lighting ish. If I was to film outdoors, there would be a major difference. Not only that, I use HC Class 6.

Wow, wish I found that earlier. Heres the one I got and my vids looks like

Problem with mine is placement. I can't really mount this anywhere except for in my radio pouch on my molle vest. In some of my other videos, you'll see my sling gets in the way. I've been toying with the idea of getting one of those pen like spy cams and taping it onto my helmet but I don't know about the image quality.

Quality picture looks very similar to mine.

Now I have it mounted with a scope ring on the side of my MP5K on the railing and it looks exactly like in the special ops missions, you can see clearly in front and part of the supressor, it's pretty cool.

Also in regards to the clone ones, don't forget that they are $20 but WITHOUT Micro SD card. So at $57 you get the real deal and a Kingston Card. I will post some picture on my set-up pretty soon!

Perhaps the biggest advantage of the real MD80 over the clone is the ability to turn off the stupid timestamp.

But the clone is actually lighter weight (although that may say something about its ability to survive a BB strike).

Jagd June 20th, 2010 13:15

Actually the time stamp is never there and I did got a hit on the side of the cam yesterday no prob at all, it's all metal casing and don't forget also that you have a one year warranty, something happen with the clone one, you put it in the garbage.

So if you add everything up for around 20$ difference (when you have to purchase the SD card separately) I think it is wiser to buy the real one.
