UHF Radio Question

I was looking at this thread:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=18513

and noticed the frequencies had 4 decimals -- whereas my Motorola GP68 only has 3 decimal places.

The closest I can get to channel 1 FRS (462.5625) is 462.560 or 462.565 (last digit goes up or down 5)

How would I access these channels?

hmm...there's no option to change that on your radio? see as how 462.5625 turns into 462.562 when you take the 4th digit off. It's just a matter of findind if your radio has that capability. Have you tried looking at any PDF manuals?

EDIT: I found this whilst searching:

"The GP68 can be set to 5khz, 10khz, 12.5khz and 25khz channel stepping"

Meaning you SHOULD be able to set it to be able to receive said frequency...

That's how I had to program my Linton 6288 radio. Works fine.

Thanks, got it working now.

Had to use the 12.5 stepping to get that extra 4th digit.

New question:

Regarding Sub-channels (CTSS) -- is changing the CTSS tone the same as changing the squelch?

I can change the rPL and tPL (guessing for rX and tX?) from 0-126 each -- but Morb's list shows the frequencies from 67.0 - 250.3

or am I looking at the wrong thing?
