LCT AKS74UN - Custom Daytonagun

- Don't bother posting a debate on which system is better, leave that to the Airsoft Gun Discussion Thread

Revitalizing my interest into Classic Gas Guns
Ever since I started Airsoft I fell in love with gas guns. Although that love does not give back kindly especially during Fall and Winter. GBB Mags were always a pain due to the cooldown effect making the gun less efficient and at times too cold to even cycle the BB propely.

But then I got into External Air Gas Guns and I don't have to worry about any cooldown effect or what temperature it is outside. I can run this gun in the Winter or Summer. The recoil and trigger response are quick, snappy and beautiful.

Now I don my Ghost buster Kit and ready to roll

Yes you can do this to your Hicapa too, you just need the proper valve to put in your mag.

One of my older videos - I will post up one for my AKS74UN when I get more gas

I did a few burst fires since I did not want to kill all my Gas in the tank

That look like fun!

can you adjust the fps for different guns then?

cbcsteve March 12th, 2010 20:32

FPS Adjustable on your Gas Air Regulator (Its like a Paintball remote line made for Airsoft) maximum up to 400 FPS, any other pressure higher than 150 PSI will cause the seals to leak out a lot of air as the gun is not made to shoot above that

Where'd you find your fitting for hicapa?

Did you buy the LCT seperately along with the kit or altogether?

Mirodasc March 12th, 2010 21:28

God I WISH I could get a decent priced external air rig for an airsoft gun.
I still have all my old paintball gear for it with tanks and scuba.. I just need a machine shop...

Oh haha no I did not have the kit for the Hicapa I was just showing what it would look like since YOU actually have the kit for the mag

LCT AK altogether, though the Dboys is better, LCT for a external gas AK is not good as they use set screws to hold things together rather than Dboys which uses the front punchout pin for the front barrel

Steve, you can run HPa off those things no problem right?

As long as you've got a good low pressure regulator yes, HPa is no problem.

Yup I run it on HPA clean and nice

See that Palmers Pursuit Regulator on my Tank

Palmers made one just for Airsoft Classic Guns which fit onto the 6mm hosing or 8mm. But Daytonagun AKs are all 6mm hosing that comes out of the grip.

FPS Adjustable on the Palmer Pursuit Regulator just a twist of a screw and you can change the FPS

Generally Around (I haven't tested it accurately since my gauge is hard to read)
90 PSI = 330 FPS
110 PSI = 390-400 FPS
